Family Relations

     This week I would like to touch on the culture of the family. There are many different types of cultures. A lot of the time when we are asked about culture we associate it with countries, different regions inside those countries, or a group of people. Culture can cover all that and more. How many of you thought of your family or how you were raised when someone was talking about culture? I never did. Whenever I was asked about cultures I always thought about groups of people that act differently or believe differently than I do. I never really thought about the cultures that surrounded me in my daily life. I have always wondered about the different types of cultures not so much about all the current details but about how they came to be. All the different cultures out there started somewhere and I always found it interesting to wonder where, whom, or what they originated from.   Roles of The Family Members! Today I would love to touch on the roles of the family. I am going to go through the fathers, mothers and the son and daughters roles in the family. The role you have in your family is one of the most important roles that you will have in your life. Each and everyone of us will play a role whether we would like to or not so we should strive for a role that will uplift and help those that we love. The Father’s Role The fathers role in the family “By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families” ( The Family: A Proclamation to the World ). I love Jesus Christ and I know that He loves each and every one of us. Each of us on this planet are sons and daughters of God. Jesus Christ teaches us that we should love one another ( John 13:34 ). I know that Jesus was talking about every single one of us. We should care and love everyone even if we do not agree with their beliefs or their actions. I know it can be hard to see through to someone else's side and look at things with their perspective.  Heavenly Father(God) knows what each and everyone of us is going through and he still loves you!
