LET'S DIG RIGHT IN!
Before I begin!
I would love to hear what you guys think about what I am wanting to write about but first I just want to start this blog by stating that I was born and raised christian and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love Jesus Christ and I know that He loves each and every one of us. Each of us on this planet are sons and daughters of God. Jesus Christ teaches us that we should love one another (John 13:34). I know that Jesus was talking about every single one of us. We should care and love everyone even if we do not agree with their beliefs or their actions. I know it can be hard to see through to someone else's side and look at things with their perspective. Heavenly Father(God) knows what each and everyone of us is going through and he still loves you! So let us respect each other and try to look at everyone’s point of view. 1John 4:20
Alright let's get started then!
Families are an important factor in our everyday lives and bringing us closer to our Heavenly Father! The family is our support. They are the ones who should be helping and guiding us along our way through hard and difficult times and they may even be the ones to push us through those times that we are helpless. You may not even realize how your family members are helping you through each and every day. If you want something more to read about how important families are The Family: A Proclamation To The World is the place to go.
The world right now wants us to see families as a burden and it wants us to cast them to the side. The world is saying that marriage is optional and that as long as you love each other then you don’t need to take that step. But I know that God wanted us to get Married. As it states in Mark10:9 “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” Marriage is so important that if done right with the correct ordinances and through the power of Christ it is eternal! Helaman 10:7
Now this part might be a bit touchy for some but just remember that everyone is a child of God and that we should love and respect one another.
Marriage in the eyes of God is sacred and is between a man and a woman. "A family built on marriage of a man and a woman is the best setting for God’s plan of happiness to thrive."¹ There are a lot of scriptures backing this up. one of them is 1 Corinthians 11:11 “Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.” Jesus Christ is saying that a man without a woman or a woman without a man can not enter into the Celestial Kingdom. Or in another words they can not enter into the highest kingdom of heaven and will not be together for eternity. Another great scripture is 1Peter 3:7-8 it talks about how we need to honor and respect our partner. "Two Great Commandments" by Pres. Dallin H. Oaks is given to us by a living apostle of God. The basics is the "importance of marriage between a man and a woman and the related law of chastity" and those that "follow lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender teachings and actions should be treated with love our Savior commands us to show toward all our neighbors."
The family is not just made up of a Husband and Wife it is also includes Children. The world is telling us right now that children are just a burden and a waste of time and money. Even those that want children a lot of the time put it off because they are too busy with worldly things right now whether it be an occupation or just want to spend time with your spouse one on one. But by the time that they slow down and are ready it is usually too late. Jesus Christ once said “And I am filled with acharity, which is everlasting love; wherefore, all children are alike unto me; wherefore, I love little children with a perfect love; and they are all alike and bpartakers of salvation.” Moroni 8:17 Children are a miracle and a gift that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ give us. I know that they would want their children to go to loving and caring homes. Notice I said loving and caring! You do not have to be wealthy for you and your spouse to create a loving and caring home. You just need to put the work and effort into it.
A happy and joyful family is not easy. Just like I mentioned earlier it will take time and effort but when you are old and thinking back on your life you will have joy and a family that you can be together with even after death. That to me is greater then all the worldly possessions that I can't even take with me after death.
